Ghost-riding’s growth in popularity can be closely associated with the popularity of video sharing websites like YouTube. On these sites users can upload, view and share video clips. With the ease of which people can now capture images and video using a variety of devices, including cell phones, it is no surprise that so much ends up online. Youtube in particular has more than 400 such videos, many of them showing the pitfalls of such stunts. Many of the videos are elaborate and almost seem like mini productions.
